We wrapped up a thought-provoking panel on the impact of AI in the creative field, bringing together artists and technologists to explore the intersection of innovation and imagination. Panelists included Meaghan Kent (Independent Curator and Deputy Director of MOCA), Andrew McLees (Art-Digital Innovation Manager at Locust Projects), Rodolfo Peraza (Founder of the Mud Foundation), AdrienneRose Gionta (AI + Human Collaborator/Researcher and Oolite Artist Alumni), and Mike P (Gen-AI Leader at Amazon Web Services).

The discussion centered on how best to approach AI in the arts—highlighting the importance of understanding the tools we use and the need to train institutions on how to talk about, implement, and exhibit AI-driven work. Panelists emphasized that while working with AI presents unique challenges, it also opens exciting new possibilities for collaboration and creativity.

Guests also had the chance to engage with a Clone of Dahlia—an AI-trained version of the artist behind Bringing the Outside In—and ask it questions about the exhibition and the role of generative art. Nearby, an interactive AI image generator invited visitors to type in any word and watch it transform into a unique artwork inspired by the floral and domestic themes of the show. This playful and imaginative feature remains available for exploration throughout the exhibition.
